Old, Old Pics at request

At the request of a reader of mine I found some old pics that my mom brought down from Connecticut. These are too funny, I wish that I had more. If you have no clue who are in these pics just comment and I'll let you know. Enjoy!

LOL...no comment.

It's time to start talkin...

I wasn't going to do it. In fact, I was going to keep my mouth shut until the time was right. But, my good friend Danny Gibson, told me last week that I should start up. And being the only fan, besides Marc Lefort of a west coast team, you don't get to hear about them. Well, listen up!

After Sweeping in Seattle this week against the Boston Red Sox the Seattle Mariners are only 5 games back of the LA Angels, who hold a tie for the best record in the American League as of today. Every analyst and their mother picked the M's to finish dead last in their division this year and with a newly fond pop in the lineup and the reemergence of a young pitching staff, today I am proclaiming the Seattle Mariners as legitimate playoff contenders. The M's are only 2.5 back of the streaking Cleveland Indians in the Wild Card, and if Felix Hernandez can find his strength sooner than later, watch out! I wasn't even going to get into the fact that the Mariners are 6 games better than the lowly New York Yankees, by the way have the Yanks reached the .500 mark yet? As much as I hate on Mike Hargrove, he has done something to this team this year and I do not even care to ask, but it's working. Granted, the Mariners have had a tough time in their division winning only 12 of 22 games. But , are 12-7 against the AL East and 8-5 verses the Sox and Yanks. Here are some of the key components of why the Mariners are playing so well right now:

1) J.J Putz is making a name for himself this year converting on all of his 22 saves opportunities this year. Has only given up just 15 hits in 39+ innings, as well as, have a strike out to walk ratio of 40:6. Not to mention an ERA of 0.99!

2) Ichiro is being, well, Ichiro. He's in the top 5 in the AL in runs, hits, stolen bases, and batting average. Already at 114 hits this year, the kid just finds a way and to have a guy like him at the top of your lineup, well, all I know is he's going to be a wealthy man after this season when his contract is up.

3) The great play of Jose Lopez and Jose Vidro have helped out a team that has struggled to get on base over the last 3 years. This is helping the likes of Adrian Beltre, Jose Guillen and Richie Sexson not to have pressure on them to have to hit the ball out of the yard every time up.

4) The bullpen has been outstanding with J.J. Putz and company helping out a young pitching staff that has been thrown to the dogs and all that Hargrove is asking for is get into the 6th and we'll be fine. And it has worked. The main need if the Mariners are really going to make a run this year is their starting pitching staff is fair at best. And like the saying goes, "Offense can win you games but pitching will win you championships."

Now,I am going on the record of saying that I believe that the Red Sox and Angels will be fighting for the rights to go to the World Series in October. But, I am also going on record of saying, I would love for the M's to get a shot at one of them!

I was at that game...Final post

The most special game I have been to in my lifetime. Going to Fenway Park with my family didn't happen very often, but this day my father, mom, and brother Tim went to see the Red Sox play against the Cleveland Indians. This had to of happen close to 20 years ago, damn I'm getting old. Well, our seats were right along the right field line and The Red Sox were starting an onslaught. Wade Boggs, and Dwight Evans homered that day, but they weren't the only ones that left the yard. Rookie Sam Horn had just got brought up by the Sox the day before and he hit a homerun in his first major league start. So manager John McNamara gave him another start this day and to the fans and my delight, Horn hit 2 more homeruns for the Fenway Faithful and tied the major league record for the most homeruns hit in his first two professional games. Well, as the blowout was going on my parents saw opening right behind the Red Sox dugout so we walked over and sat 5 rows up. When the game ended, as the team was coming off the field, I went to the edge of the dugout to see if some of the players would throw a ball or hope that they would sign some more autographs. Well, to my luck Sam Horn pops his head up and slides over the bat that he used that day right to me. Some puck kid about 4 or 5 years older than me takes the bat from my hands and Sam yells at him to give it back to me. I said, "Thanks Sam!" and went running over to my dad. It was one of the greatest moments in my childhood. A couple of years later, Horn was making an autograph appearance in the Connecticut area so me and my mom drove up to see him and brought the bat with me. As I waited in line, I kept thinking what am I going to say to this big monster of a ball player. I got to the table and said to him, "Mr. Horn, this is the bat you used in your second professional game and you gave it to me after the game, you hit two homers that day and I was wondering if you would sign it for me." He smiled, looked at me and said, "You know this is a record tying bat, right." I said yes, and he took the bat stood up and took some swings. We held of the line for at least 20 minutes talking. He signed the bat, To Dennis....Sam Horn #30....Many of more years to come "88". I still have the bat today and I swing it now and again, even thought the writing has faded a bit. I will never forget that day as long as I live and I have always cheered for Sam even though his career plummeted when he went to Baltimore. Thanks Sam, the bat will stay with me for "Many more years to come"!

His eyes, the way he talks, and they way he babbles are the reasons for #3 on the list. Chris Tucker might be the best at improves, I have never seen anything like it before. Me and Pablo's favorite scene, from the great movie Money Talks:

Back where it all started!

Tonight marks a special night for me personally with my favorite player of all-time going back to Seattle where his Hall of Fame career got started. The player, Ken Griffey Jr., arguably the best player of the 90s. Probably would have broken Roger Maris's record before Mark Mcgwire cuz he was cheapened by a strike shortened season in 1994. Either way my boy is the reason the Seattle Mariners are still a major league franchise and there stadium Safeco Field probably would have never been built. I am sure that the Seattle crowd will give him a standing O tonight, if they don't I'll be a little disappointed. I have so many memories of "The Kid" out in center and his beautiful swing at the ball after a homerun in that white Mariners jersey. Who knows what would have come for the M's if Griffey would have stayed. But, it is forgotten in my eyes, what happened has happened. But, I can tell you this the Mariners should make a run at Griffey now if he is really on the trading block. "The Kid" is hitting that crap out of the ball right now closing in on 600 right before our eyes. Who knows how close he would be at Bonds if the injuries didn't disrupt his career in Cincinnati. Anyways, best of luck to you Junior for the rest of your career. I hope that you can get a chance to finally win a ring and finish your career they way you want without injuries getting in the way!

Please just go away!

It irks me to even write about this but has been on my mind since I seen the report on ESPN's PTI. I hate this mans face so much I put it as little as possible.

PTI is probably my favorite show that ESPN airs besides some Baseball Tonight. And there lead story today was again Pacman Jones. I don't know about all of you but I am sick of some Pacman. I won't even play the video game again! With all the great things going on today in sports and I am going to be a bit biased but this years College World Series has been one of the best ever. Lots of MLB drama going on. I would even settle for some Kobe and Kevin Garnett rumor mills. Why do we continue to talk about the creeps and wanna-be thugs that are suppose to be role models to our youth. Yet, we give them top stories and 5 to 10 minutes talking about what a jerk this guys is. I get it! Let's talk about the great kids from UC Irvine. Let's talk about the highs of sports instead of the lows. This is why I watch the games, for the example that is set. Please, Roger Goddell, he's not worth your time or mine. Not worth the money that he is making. And not worthy to be an NFL player that is playing in your great league. Keep him out! Wanna a feel good story, read Rick Reilly's column in Sports Illustrated last week. Those are examples of a real humane professional person!

Oh Mike Epps, needs to be in more movies. Just the way he talks has me in tears. I was able to find this clip before I even started this comedy scene blogs. Totally forgot about this part in the movie but man, had to crack the top five after I seen it a couple more times. From the Next Friday:

If you haven't been watching...

You are missing a great College World Series! UC Irvine Anteaters have pulled off another upset just minutes ago in another classic college baseball game. This team is so much fun to watch! Up next for the Anteaters are the defending champs from Oregon State. Heavy underdogs again, and still facing elimination, I can't see them going home quietly into the night. LETS GO ANTEATERS!

What a game...

Being able to lay down and have some beers, help my brother unload his car, lay down some more, order pizza, pull weeds out on the lawn, sit down and eat pizza, try and fix the central air in my house, and watch my brother mess with the surround sound on the television. This all happened in a 5 hour and 40 minute span. The exact amount of time it took for the UC Irvine Anteaters to pull off the come-from-behind victory over Conference rival Cal State Fullerton 5 to 4. Down by as many as two runs and showing no signs of getting anything going, UC Irvine without a homerun in the College World Series yet hit two, both to tie the game up. Down 3 to 1 in the sixth Taylor Holiday hit a two -run blast to right center to tie the game, not to mention it was his first HR since April 1st. Then in one of the greatest at-bats you would ever see Cody Cipriano, after fouling off 8 pitches in a 3-2 count hit a absolute bomb clearing the right center field fence by more than 20 feet tying the game at 4 in the seventh. The drama didn't stop there. With the relief pitching from both teams getting their squads out of jams through the extra frames until the bottom of the 13th. With one out, UC Irvine's Matt Morris hit a basehit to left with Holiday on second, he came racing home for the potential winning run. Before leftfielder Josh Fellhauer even came up with the ball Holiday had already hit third, but Fellhauer threw an absolute seed to the plate to get the winning run out at home. With first base open now and runners on second and third with two outs in steps Bryan Peterson, lefty on lefty. Personally I was thinking, don't give him anything to hit with first base open. Nothing good! But the left-handed reliever for Cal State threw a hanging breaking ball on a 1-0 pitch and Peterson ripped it to center for the game winning hit.

This World Series have seen comeback after comeback so far, and I am loving it. With Oregon State and Rice sitting pretty and waiting. Mississippi State and Cal State Fullerton are the first to leave the CWS. Today, decides the fate of two more teams. The high scoring power club of Louisville will be facing North Carolina, who got embarrassed by Rice on Sunday night. The second game starting at 7 tonight, will be Anteaters from UC Irvine against Arizona State who lost to Oregon State 12-6 yesterday after the marathon game. I like Louisville to continue there run along with UC Irvine today. Let the drama continue!

We start the top five with another Jim Carrey clip. It has been very hard for me to find my favorite scenes and honest I have thrown some in there just to post but after this scene they will be the best, I promise. From Dumb and Dumber:

I was at that game part 3...

This game was very memorable to me in more ways then one. It was the first game that I went with the die hard season ticket holder Frank Sims, and being with him along with the Bleacher Creatures during a blow out, and the runs not being scored for the home team was not a good thing. Hideki Irabu was pitching for the Yanks that day and his stellar start to his professional career appeared to be a fluke after this game. I was wearing my Ken Griffey Jr. t-shirt underneath another shirt that day because I new that I would be in trouble wearing that in the bleachers at Yankee Stadium. Irabu was in trouble from the get-go, Junior hit a 2-run homer in the first to start off the onslaught. Alex Rodriguez added another that day. But, in steps "The Kid" in the sixth and for some reason Irabu was still in the game. With no one on Griffey hits a blast into the bleachers in right and I am looking at the flight of the ball and it is coming in our direction. I am sitting along side Todd Murphy in the first row, and I start making a race at the ball like I am back playing Legion baseball again. Well, it lands in the bleachers no more than two feet away from me for his second bomb of the day and there is a scramble for the ball and some punk kid ends up with it some how. And the stupid kid throws it back onto the field. That was it for the Japanese star after that and the M's were rolling. Well, my good friend Frank is pissed and he decides to sell me out to the whole crowd that I am indeed a Mariners fan. They started to give it to me and I took off my t-shirt and the crowd saw me rockin my Griffey shirt and needless to say, they weren't happy. After having everything thrown at me except a pricey beer cup I walked out of Yankee Stadium safe with my boy Frank by my side. Not only was it the first time I seen Griffey go yard, but being so close to getting the future Hall of Famers second homerun could not be enough. I had to watch myself on Sportcenter the next day to see how close I was. Ouch!

Happy Fathers Day, Dad!

My Dad, the greatest father a son could ask for. My father has worked his, pardon my french, ass off his whole life to make the best for his family with very little in return. The man who put the bat in my hand. Who put up the 9 foot basketball hoop up in the backyard and added a cemented patio for a little court. The man who coached me in soccer and baseball for years. The man who gave it to me when I messed up and patted me on the butt when I succeeded. The man who if I asked for extra batting practice after his practice with his high school team, even though he already worked a 10 hour day on top of that, would do it for me. You are my inspiration and my hero. To the man that has always been there for me in good times and bad, thank you pops for being such a great dad. Love you!

Your oldest son,

Dennis Jr.

I love beer...

Today, I worked an eight hour day with the weather up in the 80s all day. I knew before I went in this morning that I had to cut my lawn after work. I got home and it was still hot out. But, I said to myself when I finish mowing the lawn I will enjoy a tasty beverage of choice, so on I went to care for the lawn. After finishing the lawn and putting down some red ant killer(nasty mother f'ers ask me about them when I come back) and went inside the house for a tasty cold Miller Lite. Ahhhhhhhhh!

After my tasty Miller Lite, I went off to the local Superette named Albertsons and bought a 12 piece of fried chicken for $3.99, that's right $3.99 and its better than greasy KFC. I got home went in the fridge and grab my all-time favorite beer Sam Adamms Cherry Wheat. I sat down with my chicken and beer and HBO was playing the movie 61, so I ate and drank and lounged. Ahhhhhhh!

This got me to thinking, me and my pals have been a fan of beer for a while and its hard to decide whats the best. Well, to be quite honest, Miller Lite is a distant 2nd to my Sams Cherry Wheat. Here are some of my favorites in no order, please comment:

BUSCH LIGHT- The Champagne of beers! Greeeaaat for parties and drinking games. Cheap up north and you can't find it in the south. This beer was drank so much in my early twenties it has just become a part of me. I miss you Busch Light, but I don't miss going to the bathroom every 5 minutes when I shove you down my esophagus.

BUD LIGHT- Another great beer, usually for an after softball game beverage or parties that are willing to spend the extra five bucks for this type. Everyone drinks Bud Light, if they don't they probably don't drink or are alcoholics that need hard liquor instead. Nothing beats a Bud Light at the game or after the game with the guys.

CORONA- Well what can I say? Kev-o got me hooked. Soooo good in the summer time and I cannot explain why. It goes down so nice, but honestly whats with the lime? That's like giving Jessica Simpson a boob job, it just doesn't need to be done!

HARP- A great irish beer that nobody knows about. Very expensive and should only be drank casually or with a big meal. It's so good, once it hits your lips your hooked!

Killians Irish Red- Ok, ok, so i went there. My dad would kill me if I didn't mention the irish red. There hasn't been many, but my father and I have shared a couple Killians once or twice and those moments are cherished and just so you all know it doesn't happen often that my dad drinks. Killians is smooth and rich in taste, most don't care for it but they are probably not of irish descent.

others that made the list:

BUD HEAVY
MICHELOB LIGHT
HEINEKEN
GUINNESS
NATURAL LIGHT (TAP ONLY)

Yea...Basketball season is done!

It's finally over! Wish that the finals went quicker but all it took was four games for the San Antonio Spurs to become NBA Champs and one of the great dynasties of our era. Tony Parker was named Most Valuable Player in the finals and well deserved. I wish that I was Tony that night, I am sure that his wife was very creative, oh man. Did anyone see Eva jump on top of him, i thought that they were going to do the nasty right there at mid court. Lebron James had a sub-par series at best and now we can say he is not the next Jordan. I don't care how much talent was around him, I saw him give up the ball way too much in this series. Now would that have made a difference in the series, no. Did he single-handedly take the Cavs on his shoulders to the finals, yes. Does he need a Pippen, yes. I am just tired of the Jordan comparisons that it makes me want to vomit. There is only going to be one Jordan, GET OVER IT, MEDIA! Lebron will be back though, and more hungry. Now that the NBA season is over I can concentrate more on the baseball season, college and pro, and golf. Congrats to Timmy Duncan, the future Hall of Famer is doing something that we will look back on and say, "Wow, he was incredible!" Robert Horry, who has now 7 rings...Hall of Famer? Discussion for another day. And to Tony Parker for winning the title and going home with that every night!

I wish that this next clip came out better, but all that you need to do is listen to Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawerence talk. This movie is my #1 favorite comedy but this is the only scene I could find still is hilarious! From the movie Life:

I was at that game part 2...

This is a tough one for me to post but not long ago we went to go see the Red Sox face off against my Mariners again (just so you all know most of the games my blog will be M's games). At this point I had seen the M's win 6 straight times when I went to the game, but I knew that we were in trouble when the mighty and at his prime Pedro Martinez took the mound. This was the first of two times that I saw Pedro pitch against the Mariners and both times the outcome wasn't a good one on my side. This game wasn't even close! But what is memorable for me is that this would be the first complete game by a pitcher that I got to see live. The Sox were killing them and in steps Jay Buhner with no one on base, which was most of the case during the game, and he hits a bomb over the monster for a solo shot. This would also be the famous "Hit 'em Pedro, hit 'em!!" game. This guy behind us must have yelled this at least 20 times during the game and as Buhner rounded third to home he decides to yell, "Hit 'em now, Pedro!!" I was in tears in more way than one!

The barber shop scenes in this movie were so funny to me that i had to combine them for number seven on the list. From the movie Coming to America:

I was at that game...

I haven't been to many classics like others but i would like to share with you all about some of my favorite moments being at live Major League Baseball games. Enjoy! If you have some fill me in on the comments.

My first game seeing two players have multi-HR games...This was a while ago, probably about 8 years ago. I was working at Hopson and Motzer and they set up a bus trip to see the Yankees host the Seattle Mariners and so I jumped at the opportunity. Told a bunch of friends and we went to the game. It was an up and down high scoring game that saw Jorge Posada hit his second homerun deep into the bleachers in the bottom of the seventh to take a 2 run lead. And as I recall the Yankee fans that came to the game (Jon and Matt Fiderio and The Short guy) jumped all over me being a Mariner fan and all. But, they celebrated too soon because in the next inning the Yankees would blow it. The Mariners scored 5 times in the 8th with help from Alex Rodriguez' 2nd Bomb being a 3-run blast into the black of center field and the M's would hold on to the victory and it was a sweet ride back home on the bus for me.

There are so many great scenes to this next movie that I had to throw one of them in my top 10. So here's #8 from the movie Austin Powers the Spy who Shagged Me:

The College World Series is here

Since the world has been pretty busy with The Sopranos, Roger Clemens, French Open, The Red Sox, The NBA Finals, and Paris Hilton has anyone noticed that the College Baseball Super Regional Play has been going on...I didn't think so!

Well, tell you the truth they really haven't marketed it very well either. I personally love the College World Series. The bats, the fans, the drama, and more importantly the dugout cheers. My personal favorite is the shaking of the ball inside the hat!

Here's what's been going on: Mississippi State advanced to the Series after being the last team to qualify to make the regional tourney. The Tarheels advanced after beating the South Carolina Gamecocks in the second game of a double header yesterday, try to find the highlights...great game. Rice and Cal State Fullerton took care of Texas A&M and UCLA very easily. Same goes for Arizona State and UC Irvine who swept Mississippi and Wichita State respectively. Louisville advanced again surprising the college baseball world by scoring 20 runs verses Oklahoma State yesterday. And the final team to represent the College World Series will be either the defending champs from Oregon State or my boys from Michigan.

Game 2 is tonight on ESPN 2, they battled in a real pitching duel yesterday with Oregon State coming out with the 1-0 win. If Michigan can pull off the upset the next couple of days they will make it to the Series for the first time since 1984. After surviving and beating the #1 seed and favorite this year in Vanderbilt, in the Regionals, Michigan is ready for the next step and I am finally able to wear my Michigan baseball jersey with pride now. Michigan is not only representing themselves this year but the entire Big Ten who haven't had a school in the College World Series since the Wolverines made it in 1984. Watch for Nate Recknagel and Jason Christian. Two major prospects in the making. GO BLUE!

#9

I don't care what you all say about these scenes but to me I laugh for minutes. Remember that these are scenes not moments. Also, I am having a tough time with 7,8, and 9 on my list because youtube offers only so much, my top 5 is to die for. Number 9 is from the movie Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood.

Unsatisfying or Brillant

It's 10 minutes after 10 o'clock, I get a call from my close friend and he yells into the phone..."ARE YOU $#!&%! KIDDING?"

After the final episode of the Sopranos, not only did I think that the cable went out, but it left me wondering. Like it always had since the first season. Though, a lot of us will be pissed and wanting more because of all the invested time we put in every Sunday night during the shows airing, I still finished the show the same way as I always had, pondering whats next.

A lot of answers still have not been made clear but that is the beauty of this final season. Whatever you want to think happened! I loved the way that Phil died...priceless! Paulie was looking at Tony weird throughout the show, I thought that was very odd. Janice was being Janice. Also, which I thought was a very touching moment, when Tony went to see Sil and there was no words spoken and Tony just grabbed his hand. I am really going to miss this show, more than any other. More than The Fresh Prince of Bel Air!

Do you all really think after the fabulous job that Chase has done though the years that he was going to have a true ending? Not me! This also leaves outs to the show. Is there going to be a movie?...Will some young director later on take over with a new cast and finish the storied Soprano show? Either way I am fine with the ending, in fact I think that this is how it went...

As Meadow comes walking through the door, Tony gives a big smile. The gentleman walks out of the bathroom and Tony notices him fixing at his shirt, like he is wearing a wire. Tony smiles again. Turn up the music of "Don't stop Believing" then credits. And the story continues...

Simple enough!

The Spurs big three scores 67...Lebron is held to 4 for 16 from the field with one assist...too many second chance opprotunities for the Spurs...and basically the Spurs let everyone know in game one that this will be their series and controled the tempo throughout. Mike Brown better figure something out and soon!

Tough one Curt...

Curt Schilling yesterday afternoon had a no-hitter for 8 and two-thirds of a game and lost it when Shannon Stewart ripped a line drive base hit to right field to break up the no-no attempt. This hasn't been the first time that Schilling has taken no-hitters into the ninth. And this is his 3rd career no hitter to boot. On a personal note, Curt Schilling had pitched no-hit ball for 6 and a third innings verses the Mariners and I was in the stands. This was the longest a pitcher went that far without giving up a hit when I was in attendance. Most of my friends were at this same game with me so in my free time the next couple of weeks I will be giving you my favorite MLB moments that I have seen live.

Favorite Comedy Scenes...

During the next couple weeks I will be giving you my top 10 comedy scenes that I came up with off the top of my head, hope that you enjoy! Here we go with number 10 from Bruce Almighty:

Wednesday, June 6, 2007

As the NBA Finals starts Thursday night at 9 o'clock on ABC there are a few keys to this series that keeps on poppin up in my head. Let's be honest, the Cavs are big underdogs. I haven't seen any NBA insider pick the Cavs yet. Not that I will, but in order for Cleveland to make this a series that we all hope for, some things need to play out in their favor.

And here they are:

Will Bowen frustrate James? I think this might be the biggest key for Cleveland. Bowen is a great defender. All-Defensive 1st team the last four years, a very physical and psychological player, and with his teammates he plays great help defense. James cannot, cannot, let Bowen get in his head in this series with his physical game and don't think that Bowen won't try.

Who is going to stop Duncan? Who? Drew Gooden...will be in foul trouble in the first quarter. Who? Zydrunas Ilgauskas...can't run with him and is not as cordinated. Who? Anderson Varejao...I love this kid! He works his ass off night in and night out and has shown signs of the next level in the post-season this year. He'll front him, he'll run up and down with him, and he'll body him. The Cavs are really going to need this kid in the next two weeks, even on the offensive end to get Timmy in foul trouble.

Will the bench continue to play big? Daniel Gibson has been sensational this post season, not just in the conference finals either. We just weren't paying attention to the other series that the Cavs were in. Donyell Marshall is going to have to hit the shots when they need him too. I have seen him too many times miss shots, and not just the game 1 three, miss 3 after 3 in the forth quarters in the playoffs. Eric Snow will play solid and very rarely will he turn the ball over, also the only Cav to ever be in the Finals. And my boy Anderson Varejao, keep playin hard young buck and frustrate Tim Duncan with your pick and rolls and back to the basket defense.

Finally, will inexperience play a part in this series? I doubt it. Lebron and the young Cavs are going to play their buts off. I just hope that they don't over exuse themselves and play the type of basketball that got them there. Like a said early Eric Snow is the lone Cav that has been to the Finals, while the Spurs have a handful and some that have boosted up the NBA titles.

I gotta say, I will be routing for a great series first and the Cavs second. Lebron has a lot on his shoulders in the series. Tim Duncan is looking for his 4th ring. Really 4th, like as many as Shaq, more than Larry! I hope it'll be a good series so here's the pick!

Spurs in 6

I'm back in the Sunshine State

It's good to be back, but what a weekend I had with my friends. Although, I didn't get to see everyone that I wanted to, I am very glad that I made the three day trip. My liver and kidneys could really use the rest and terms like..."happy hands" and "DL" and "best man" makes me want to come back for more fun and I can't wait til July gets here. At first I started to blame every one's favorite pig for my hang-overs each day that I was in the CT. But, by Sunday morning, I think that it was my own fault. I knew what I was getting myself into, just wasn't ready for it. I finally got to see The Sopranos on Tuesday night when I got back and I gotta say, if the season is going to end why not this way! The writers, as my trusty lead man Shorty(badchoicemilk.blogspot.com) has already wrote, have done a phenomenal job this season with so many of us willing to criticize every plot that they made. And I haven't had to do that once. Its hard for me to write that The Sopranos is going to be over for good after next week. Sunday night baseball better have some good games these next months, because this guy's needs something to interest my ass. Baseball opinions, golf, college world series, and since I don't go to the cinemas dvd rental are on the list of things to come. Thanks to all my boys for the great weekend and for coming to the stag, it means a lot! See y'all soon and would enjoy your comments as always.

A Superstar has Grown!

In one of the greatest performances in my lifetime. Lebron James took Game 5 from the Detroit Pistons, in a game that saw 2 overtimes and a young kid not willing to lose. Every possession was in Lebron's hands in the final minutes of the forth quarter and the two overtimes. If you missed it, don't worry, you'll see it again, and again in the days, months, and years to come. Scoring 25 of his team's final points and totaling 48 for the game, truly was a night that Lebron and I will never forget!
