Vote for Art Monk

Well, here it is 24 hours away from awaiting the fate of a certain Hall of Famer in my eyes and many others, epecially those that played with or against him. Art Monk who has been passed over the Hall of Fame for several years now, won't be that guy to go on camera and give his peace. But, he has every right too in my book. And I am the guy that hates on players trying to sell the Hall of Fame status to voters on camera. Monk is currently, I'll say it again currently, in these career statistics...6th in receptions, 11th in receiving yards, 30th in touchdowns, 26th in yards from scrimmage, and 2nd in consectutive games with a catch. Seven times he has been a finalist for the Hall and seven times he has missed the cut. Monk is a 3-time Super Bowl Champ, though he missed one of them because of an injury, in his second he caught 7 passes for 113 yards. And, being a Redskin fan, he had one 20 yard catch turnover because it was reversed by instant replay, when they brought it back for the Super bowl. Monk was only a 3-time Pro-Bowler, 2-time All-Pro, and is a part of the NFL's All-Decade team of the '80s. 5 times in his career he went over 1000 yards receiving and 5 touchdowns in a season. What is more incredible to me is along with Gary Clark and Ricky Sanders was part of a great wide receiving trio nicknamed "the posse", and in 1989 they became the first trio to each record 1000 yards receiving for the same team. Monk had and always will be a great guy on and off the field and is currently part of the Good Samaritan Foundation that helps youth out in the community and the workplace. Before Jerry Rice, Monk owned many receiving records, including catching a touchdown pass in 15 consecutive seasons. Please voters, it is time! Do the right thing! Take a look at more and be amazed...
