Something to be Happy About

The Seattle Mariners were able to trade for one of the better left handed pitchers in the game this past week in Erik Bedard. Even though they gave up a great outfield prospect in Adam Jones, you gotta be happy about that pick up especially since you had gotten another 28 year old a couple of months ago in pitcher Carlos Silva. The Mariners had a surprising season to say the least last year by finishing 2nd in the AL West. Now with Bedard and Silva in a rotation with 21 year old Felix Hernandez, and vets Miguel Batista and Jarrod Washburn the M's could turn things around next season. In a surprising report earlier today manager John McLaren announced that Bedard will be the opening day starter over Hernandez. Um, coach...its February 13th, you got some time to decide. Fantasy outlook and Pre-Season predictions will be a little later on, I for once am not rushing the start of baseball this season.
