It's too Bad

Scott Skiles got fired on Christmas Eve out of all the days from his managerial job with the Chicago Bulls after starting the season 9-16. I liked Skiles as a coach, maybe that is why he got fired because a few of the high priced athletes on his team couldn't handle his upbeat coaching style, for one Ben Wallace. Since he came to Chicago Wallace has been nothing but a distraction. It was either the head-band problem since Skiles didn't allow them because he wanted his team be a team and not individuals. Then it was Wallace's constant nagging injuries, injuries that never bothered him in Detroit, but funny they were winning then. And most important, his reported "Not playing with energy or leadership" anymore was a big cause for concern with the front office, and who are you going to blame? Not the guy getting paid the big bucks but the guy that is suppose to be in charge of a group of multi-millionaires. This is just another reason why I have trouble watching the NBA before the NCAA tournament is over. Another reason I can think of for the bad play of the Bulls this season especially early on was the Kobe Bryant talks. How can basketball be on any players mind when rumors are out in the papers that they might have to get up and move their family to the west coast at any time. Sorry Jim Paxson, I don't know if you were behind the whole thing of Skiles firing but this was the worst move that you have made yet since being the general manager.
